Metroproper keeps you connected to your geographic community through these new-fangled ideas of internet community. We decided that community doesn't end up meaning a whole lot unless you have some real connection to the community, and with Metropropers Citizen Media, profiles and business reviews, you know what's going on where you live, and with those you live around.

You can give (and take away!) props by clicking the hand print on a persons profile, a particular photo or citizenmedia item. Props are short for "proper recognition" and indicate that you know how to give credit where credit is due. You do know how to do that, don't you?

Citizen media is media submitted by users for the purpose of entertainment, spreading the word or even general silliness. If you found it useful, interesting, shocking or entertaining, the idea is, some one else will too!

To submit Citizen media, click on "citizen media" at the bottom of your profile page, and then click "submit media" at the top right hand corner of the citizen media list. After submitting your media you will be given the option of notifying your friends of your submitted media. You can sort by the first letter of friend's names by picking the letters at the bottom, or you can select "all", and then just click who you'd like to be notified of your media. They will appear in the box to the right, and then click submit. That's it!

You can filter Citizen Media by picking Day, Week, Month, or Year, and you'll see the most propped items for that time period.

A friends feed keeps you up to date on what your friends are doing. What are they propping, reading, submitting? Who are they befriending? Friends feed helps you keep up with them, in an internets way.

Fresh faces are all the metro peeps in the system. They are automatically organized by geographical location. See that tag up at the top? Yeah, that's where you are smarty pants – now start befriending!

To search for people in fresh faces, just go to fresh faces (on the bottom navigation bar) and you can sort by gender, sign, age, location and name. Better yet, find people by browsing. Pick someone who looks cute, posts good stuff or is always online. Trust us, people will respond, and before you know it, you'll have more metrofriends than you can count.

You can befriend someone by clicking on their picture, which will send you to their profile. Then click "Be my friend" on the top right hand corner. Write a message (or don't), fill out the spam form, and that's it.

On a Profile Page you can use the icons at the top of your profile to see friends, find out who's propping the owner of the profile, check out a list of citizen media from that user, look at photos and galleries and see and leave comments. If it is your profile page, you can also add pictures and galleries, just by clicking the galleries link. Uploading is a simple as pick and submit. Pick which photo you want to have used as your default by clicking "set as me" underneath it.
